The Certificate Generation and Distribution System (CGDS) is the Government of Jamaica’s official digital service for securely accessing certified government documents online. Designed to be efficient, reliable, and easy to use, CGDS allows citizens and businesses to obtain approved certificates anytime and anywhere, without visiting a government office.
Through this centrally managed government platform, users can generate, download, and verify electronic Motor Vehicle Registration Certificates and Motor Vehicle Certificates of Fitness. These services eliminate the need for physical paperwork and long processing times, providing faster access to essential motor vehicle–related documents. While CGDS is designed for expansion, it currently supports motor vehicle certificates only and is not a general electronic certificate (eCert) platform.
