History of GovPayout
GovPayout was born out of the Government of Jamaica’s commitment to modernize service delivery, eliminate inefficient manual processes, and provide faster, safer access to government benefits.
To realize this vision, the Government tasked the ICT Authority with designing and building a platform that could support high-volume national disbursements with rigorous security and reliability.
ICT Authority’s Role in Development
The ICT Authority led all major components of the platform’s creation, including:

Milestones
