The ICT Authority of Jamaica was established by the Information and Communications Technology Authority Act (2019) on Appointed Day April 2, 2025. Transferring the functions of eGov Jamaica Limited and the Office of the Chief Information Officer to the new organization. The ICT Authority of Jamaica is a statutory body with the core responsibilities of streamlining and consolidating the delivery and management of ICT services in all public bodies through a shared services model and supporting the implementation and realization of government’s sustainable digital agenda, by promoting improvements in ICT service management across the GoJ’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Here at the ICT Authority of Jamaica we perform advisory, consulting, management, development, procurement and auditing functions in respect of ICT systems and services across government. We aim to harness and deploy ICT services to facilitate efficiency, and effectiveness in all public bodies; ensure the security, reliability and availability of ICT related systems and services in all public bodies and develop the requisite capabilities, including that of employees, to support the reliable and secure delivery and management of ICT services.

We aim to provide high quality, innovative and reliable ICT solutions and services to enable MDAs to achieve excellence and the GoJ to achieve transformational value. We will enable effective and efficient interaction of the GoJ with its citizens and businesses through harnessing the power of ICT.
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has oversight for the ICT Authority of Jamaica with Senator the Honorable Ambassador Audrey Marks having responsibility for Digital Transformation.
