LEAD ANALYST

JOB PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Innovation Projects, the Lead Analyst, Innovation Projects is the Technology Lead responsible for driving innovative changes within the organization, leads in developing ground-breaking projects and advocating new processes that encourage innovation channel to spur new ideations. The incumbent helps to identify areas of opportunity and then coordinates the development of specific ideas within the innovation process. He/she should identify, select and demonstrate new technology advances that benefit the organization’s operations and that of MDAs. Additionally, the Lead Analyst, Innovation Projects leads in the development of white papers and/or concept notes on potential ICT interventions for submission to the Director and Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts in-depth research to identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to the organization’s industry and goals.
  • Analyzes data market intelligence to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies on the organization’s business operations.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize innovation opportunities and define project objectives.
  • Develops business cases and proposals for new technology solutions that align with business needs, considering factors such as functionality, scalability and compatibility.
  • Designs and executes proof-of-concept (POC) projects to validate the feasibility and potential of new technology solutions.
  • Collaborates with Cluster Management and product development team to define technical requirements and ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems.
  • Manages and leads technology implementation projects.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of implemented technology solutions, collecting feedback from end-users and stakeholders.
  • Works closely with vendors and external partners to assess potential collaborations and partnerships for innovation initiatives.
  • Identifies and addresses any risks or obstacles that my impact the successful implementation of technology projects.
  • Leads or participates in cross-functional project team as a subject matter expert in IT innovation
  • Drives continuous improvement in the organization’s innovation processes and methodologies.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation with the organization, encouraging idea generation and experimentation.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and support for innovation initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Certificate in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Block Chain or other related technologies.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in emerging technologies.
  • A least two (2) years’ experience in conducting agile software development.
  • Experience in change management including stakeholder engagement and organization transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership on technology pilots and innovation projects.
  • Experience with database management system such as Informix, PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
  • Very strong experience in Python, JAVA or JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of web and mobile development.
  • Experience working with version control and source code management platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Proficiency in an interface design and prototyping tool such as Adobe XD and/or Figma.
  • Experience with ITIL and service management principles.
  • Ability to assess and recommend technology solutions.

The salary is J$5.88 million per annum plus any benefits attached to this position.
