JOB PURPOSE:
The Spatial Optimization Coordinator will be responsible for strategically planning and optimizing the physical workspace for the ICT Authority and its clients. This role requires a strong understanding of spatial design, workplace utilization, and technology integration to support the organization’s evolving needs. The Spatial Optimization Coordinator will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the workspace is functional, efficient, and aligned with its purpose.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts in-depth analysis of current workspaces, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Develops and implement spatial strategies to maximize the effective use of office space, considering factors such as workflow, employee needs, and future growth projections.
- Collaborates with the IT department to ensure that technological infrastructure supports the spatial needs of the organization, including network connectivity and communication systems.
- Coordinates office relocations, expansions, and consolidations, managing logistical challenges and minimizing operational downtime.
- Creates detailed floor plans, layouts, and design concepts that optimize space utilization and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Utilizes software tools such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and space planning software to visualize and communicate proposed changes to the workspace.
- Conducts regular site visits to assess the functionality and efficiency of workspaces, making recommendations for adjustments or improvements as needed.
- Develops policies and guidelines for workspace management, including desk sharing, hot-desking, and remote work arrangements.
- Leads change management initiatives related to workspace transformations, engaging employees and fostering a culture of adaptability.
- Develops disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies to address workspace disruptions and emergencies.
- Develops and maintain relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and industry partners to leverage expertise and resources for space planning projects.
- Develops and maintain a space inventory system to track spatial configurations.
- Implements agile workspace solutions that accommodate flexible work arrangements, including remote work options, co-working spaces and activity-based environments
- Develops visual representations and mock-ups of proposed space planning concepts to facilitate decision-making and stakeholder buy-in.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and ergonomic standards in workspace design and layout.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience.

The salary is J$5.88million per annum plus any benefits attached to this position.
