JOB PURPOSE:
The Training Officer assists the Senior Human Resource Development Officer in the execution of the Authority’s Annual Training Plan. The position supports communication with training partners and facilitators, Branch Managers and staff / trainees. The incumbent will be required to prepare training materials and all logistical arrangements to support the successful delivery of sessions. He/she will also collaborate on the execution of all HR Programmes and initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the assessment of staff training needs.
- Participates in the development of the Branch’s Training Plan.
- Participates in the development of training programmes
- Co-ordinates existing training programmes and provides consultation to managers for the development of job-specific training.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and/or support the delivery of in-house programmes.
- Assists in the development of policy and guidelines as it relates to training activities
- Plans and coordinates all logistics for training sessions.
- Participates in designing evaluation tools to assess quality, content, performance and impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business/Public Administration or related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Diploma in Teaching or Certificate in a Train-the-Trainer Course is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years relevant training.

The salary is J$4.06 million per annum plus any benefits attached to this position.
